Ever since I was a little girl, I was fascinated with the nature that surrounds us.

From my early travels between cities in my home country back in the Middle East, I always felt a certain peace within different natural landscapes. More importantly, I found myself falling in love with flowers within those landscapes.
Later having lived in Switzerland and Canada, and now residing in the United States, my love for floral pieces grew even stronger, as I envisioned every flower giving a unique beauty and story to that area’s landscape.
As the years went by, my daughter finally encouraged me to trade in my job as a stock market trader and embrace my love for flowers by starting my very own floral design business. The name Shades of Petals is meant to highlight not only the different shades within one flower, but to also reflect on the ability for pieces of different landscapes to be brought together to create a story. My floral arrangements are inspired by my Middle Eastern traditional roots with a flare on European and Western contemporary designs. I hope that my designs can bring a sense of appreciation for the combination of different floral cultures, and motivate people to search for the floral shade within them.

Yes, we do! We offer next-day local delivery from our Tarzana store. Please contact us directly if your desired delivery location is outside of our scope of delivery.

Absolutely. Just provide us with the necessary order confirmation and your order will be available for pickup the next-day after you placed your order.

We recommend the dried and preserved flowers to be used indoors and kept away from direct sunlight. We also suggest for the flowers to avoid humidity, moisture, and high heat to preserve the bouquet’s longevity.

When looked after properly, dried and preserved flowers can last up to one year. In some occasions, even longer. Despite its long lifespan, we recommend getting new flowers per season so that you can experience the different kinds of beauty that arise within the year!

We love creating designs based off your vision, which is why we offer custom flower orders for both fresh flowers and dried/preserved flowers. We recommend contacting us at least three days prior to your desired date.
